Potomac Housing began as Potomac Housing Developers in 1992, when Lois and Page Burdette purchased land, now known as Opequon Meadows, and decided to retire from the newspaper business as editor of The Journal and became a Developer.

While continuing to build Opequon Meadows, Page decided to expand his property management business. Potomac Housing moved from its third model home, after purchasing a warehouse at 27 Polo Greene Drive and converting it into an office building. Since the purchase of the office building in 2004, Potomac Housing has increased its property management volume by more than 300%!

  During his newspaper career he was a reporter for The Daily Republic, Mitchell, S. Dak; The Intelligencer, Wheeling, WV, where he also was bureau chief for Werton, WV and Steubenville, Ohio, city editor and managing editor, Owensboro, KY. Messenger and Inquiror. Managing Editor, the Buchanon Record, Buchanon, WV., the editor of The Journal. He also owned and served as publisher of the Cabell Record serving Huntington from Milton, WV near the Burdette family farm, Ona, WV., for which he has served as manager since 1974.

  Now in its 27th year, Potomac Housing has the lowest operating costs for home owners in the region, a wealth of experience, full service knowledgeable staff and the desire to continue serving the property owners and tenants in Berkeley County as well as the surrounding areas for many years to come.
